The Makings of a Best Cinematography

When watching a movie, most of the time, typical movie goers don’t really realize the very important contribution of an appealing visual cinematography. We pay for our movie ticket because of the story or the actors who are in the movie. So when the awards season come, we care most about the winners of the Best Actor or Actress award or even the Best Picture award. We don’t really care who gets to with the Best Cinematography award.

But did you know that having the best cinematography spells a world of difference in a film? It is the cinematographer’s job to create the “mood” and the look of whatever time period a film is supposed to have been shot. He provides great help for the lighting, color compensations and conversion, even the positioning of the cameras and the blocking of the actors.

For a movie to really create, move and impact the movie goers, the elements should not only be limited to the storyline, the best actors who must portray their parts well and the best director to put everything together. It must have the very best cinematography that could hold all the visual aspects of the movie together as one.
