Believe it or not, many photographers overlook the importance of taking pictures of wedding bouquets and pictures of wedding flowers used to decorate for your wedding ceremony and reception. This is truly a shame, particularly if you use fresh wedding flowers. After all, your wedding flowers pictures will be the only memory you have of these beautiful additions to your wedding. Of course, if you use artificial wedding flowers, you might still be able to keep a couple mementos from the wedding. Nonetheless, you won't be able to keep them all!
When critiquing the wedding flower pictures that your potential photographer has taken, there are a number of factors you should consider. For example, do the wedding bouquets pictures appear three-dimensional or are they dull, flat and lifeless? You should also look for wedding bouquet pictures that are shot in interesting settings and from attractive angles. For example, wedding bouquet pictures taken while still in the bride's hand can be quite attractive when the background is blurred and the focus is placed on the flowers.
Obviously, the pictures of wedding flowers that the photographer has taken should not be your only consideration when selecting the professional that is right for you. The majority of your photos will be of people and events. To that end, you need to find a photographer that takes more than just posed pictures. While these photos are certainly lovely and should be a part of your wedding memoirs, photos of the wedding ceremony and of your guests enjoying themselves at the wedding are equally important.
Consider the potential photographer's portfolio and keep an eye out for action photos. Does the photographer seem to have a "good eye" for special wedding moments that should be photographed? Are the photos clear and vibrant or are they blurry and difficult to see?
Choosing the right photographer is one of the most important decisions you will make when planning your wedding. After all, you want to be able to look at the photographs years from now and relive this important moment in your life. With poor quality photos, the images will become just as blurred as your memory. With the right photographer, on the other hand, you can keep the memories alive and share them once more with your friends and family at your 50th wedding anniversary!
