Family

A famous writer, Erma Bombeck, once said that when it comes to talking about family relationships it is like the ties the bind and gag.  Admittedly, because you are family, you tend to forget that each of you have your own lives to live and that you are each entitled of your own privacy. It is easier to butt in and give our advice to family members without even waiting for them to ask us for help.

How should our relationships be with the other members of the family? We can’t just sit back and let everything pass us by especially if we see them hurting, right? The thing is that even if you belong to the same blood line, you shouldn’t forget to respect each others right to be silent and be alone. What you can do is to let the other member of the family know that you will be there for them whenever you are needed.

Taking care of family relationships takes a lot of hard work but if we recognize our own limitation and learn to give space, then things will work out just fine. Just like when you want to be left alone in peace for a few moments, the others would want that kind of solitude too. Family will always be family and this is something that will never change.
